Retreat No.2
Iriklia, Greece Yoga Retreat
22-29 Sept 2026
( 7 nights)
🇬🇷 4 spots left only 🇬🇷
I have been searching for a venue to hold a yoga retreat in Greece for around 3 years. Most of you know that my background is Greek and that my parents are from the island of Kos (the Dodecanese) in Greece.
In thinking of a yoga retreat in Greece, I needed to find a place unique enough to justify the long flight and time commitment from all of us. After I made the decision that the right location for me was still years after, totally randomly and without fanfare, the right island appeared. The island is Iraklia!
Iraklia is one of the islands in the Small Cyclades. The Lesser Cyclades or Small Cyclades is an island complex in the Aegean Sea, inside the archipelago of the Cyclades. It is located to the south-east of Naxos. To give you context, Santorini, Mykonos, Naxos & Paros are part of the Cyclades and are nearby.
Iraklia is a haven for those seeking peace and tranquility. Unlike some of the more commercialized Greek islands, Iraklia remains untouched by mass tourism. This ensures that visitors can truly immerse themselves in authentic Greek culture and traditions.
Iraklia is a very small island with a population of 148 people. It is not a party island or a ‘trendy’ island. It’s a place that’s made an effort to stay connected to the integrity and
community of the old. It has a few restaurants, delightful nature, and original character. It has 7 hiking trails and our host is a nature enthusiast who is very educated on the flora, fauna and wildlife of the area.
Keeping it real-The location is a simple, homey place, impeccably maintained, but not fancy or chic, and is set on a spectacular hilltop just above the village.
Amazingly, on this very small island is the most stunning yoga Shala…. And that’s how this island drew me in. Don’t forget to look at the photos at the end of this message.
There are 2 venues that we will be staying in.
The first venue is the main house that has the yoga Shala on the property. The 2nd venue, is a little hotel, Cosmos, 5 minutes away.
Breakfast and dinner costs are included in your Retreat costs (as usual) however this retreat will be slightly different. We will be eating breakfast at the main house all together after Yoga, but then we will be having our dinner at one of the local restaurants. We will be dining at 3 different restaurants in the local village.
(note- this retreat will still be alcohol and smoke free like all the others)
What you can expect on this retreat
This retreat will be a retreat set on a beautiful and authentic Greek Island. Our host and his father are naturalists who have a wealth of knowledge about the birds, animals, flora and fauna of the island. Our host, Fanis, also knows all the hiking trials on the island. Hiking with him also mean that we have our own guided tour of the island.
Expect a boat cruise where we explore hidden beaches & other islands, known mainly to the locals. Expect hikes and long sunsets. Expect getting to know the locals as we eat at their local restaurants. Expect serenity, beauty and a connection to a simpler life ❣️
Please note bed sizes are either standard Double or standard Single.
Rooms: the rooms on property are impeccably clean, very simple but comfortably furnished, and lovely.
All rooms have balconies and views. Sea views cannot be guaranteed unless your room type option specifies it.

The retreat begins when we get to the island-Iriklia on the 14th Sept 2024. There are many ways to get to this island, however, the yearly ferry schedule is released in March every year. Apparently it is the same schedule every year, but it means that we can’t make specific plans till March 2026. The plan however is to meet on the island of Naxos and all take the ferry across to Iraklia. The price of this boat trip is currently 5.50 euros.
I have 2 words for you.. be quick!!

7 night Sassy Yoga Retreat in Laos
17-24 MAY 2026 🇱🇦
(7 nights)
➡️ ONE STANDARD CABIN REMAINING! ⬅️
Situated in the heart of Luang Prabang, this amazing retreat venue found me when I was in Chiang Mai, Thailand last year. After having explored the venue and met the people who run the venue, I’m happy to release this exciting yoga retreat.
The yoga platform is built over and along the Namkhan river in Laos. We will be practicing yoga to the sound ( or stillness) of water. The venue has 2 pools and a spa centre. You will be able to indulge in daily massages if you like :)
Laos is a Southeast Asian country traversed by the Mekong River and known for mountainous terrain, French colonial architecture, hill tribe settlements and Buddhist monasteries.
What you can expect on this retreat !
Two yoga classes daily
Waterfall visits
Temple visits
Markets
And much more✨🧘🏻♀️
Every second day will be a free day so you will have plenty of time to explore and relax.
Two special events that I have planned:
Almsgiving
Alms Giving has been a core part of Laotian tradition since time immemorial and involves generating good merit for oneself by giving food to monks. It’s especially prevalent in Luang Prabang, which is recognized as the spiritual epicenter of Laos. According to traditional belief, almsgiving helps one generate good karma and thus improves one’s chances of enhancing not only this life but future lives.
Baci Ceremony
Central to Laotian culture is a ceremony known as ‘Baci’, which translates into ‘spirit-enhancing’ or ‘Soul-calling’. In addition to connecting people together, the purpose of this ceremony is traditionally aimed towards attracting good luck as well as restoring harmony and balance to one’s physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
Cost
🛏️ All rooms are private. There is only 1 x Cabin that is suitable for a twin share.
1 x Standard Cabin Twin Share - 2 spots available!
$2,333
Regarding all other Private rooms, please read ➡️ If you have a friend or partner who you would like to share a room with, then you will each pay the twin price. But for this retreat, you cannot book a twin share unless two of you are booking the room together. The reason for this is that some of the beds can’t be split too far from one another and this might be uncomfortable if you don’t know the other person.
🛌 ⛺️ You have the option of booking a glamping tent or a room. The glamping tents are highly sort after as they are right in the forrest, overlooking the river. Quite spectacular! They all have air conditioning, fans, fridge, nice linen, etc.
Superior Options
Private Cabin- 2 Left!
or
(5 only) Superior Private Glamping Tent -TENT OPTION SOLD OUT

Shoes!
As the Zumba class will be taking place in a yoga studio, we respectfully ask that you bring the shoes that you will wear in your Zumba class, separately to the shoes that you will walk in with. You can change your shoes on arrival.
All items are placed in a locked room and you walk in with your clean Zumba shoes.
We respectfully ask this of the Zumba participants, because of Melbourne’s unpredictable weather and keeping the yoga floors clean .
Ps- The short version is keep your runners in a bag and put them on when you get to the yoga studio 🙂
Chanting has profound benefits. While chanting, people often report feeling a heightened awareness and a greater ability to rest in the moment and experience.
Chanting facilitates going more deeply into Presence. There can be a distinct feeling of being “at home,” with no need to be anywhere else, or for things to be different.
This will be a 50 min class. It will start off with some very gentle yoga. We will continue with pranayama and then we will chant.
A mantra is a syllable, word, or phrase that is repeated during meditation. Mantras can be spoken, chanted, whispered, or repeated in the mind. Most mantra meditation techniques have two essential components: mindfulness meditation and mantra recitation or chanting.
Chanting can seem strange at first, especially if you are unfamiliar with it, but with practice it becomes a familiar and special part of your meditation practice. It can be particularly useful to quiet and focus the mind before sitting meditation.
Hue, Vietnam
15-22 March 2027
7 nights
This retreat has 4 spots left. 🇻🇳
4 x private rooms left
Or a shared spot if you come with a friend. You can only book a shared spot with another person.
Recently I returned from five days in Vietnam. This trip was planned 15 months ago, as I was retreat venue hunting. Having never been to Vietnam previously I really had no idea what to expect.
I always try to keep my expectations low and I am always after a venue and location that is not overrun by tourists. Recently Vietnam has become the flavour of the month, even though this trip was organised 15 months ago. I had done my research and I wanted to explore Hue.
Hue is a historic city in Central Vietnam famous for its rich culture, imperial heritage, and beautiful landscapes, including the iconic Perfume River and the UNESCO-listed Imperial City. Formerly the capital of Vietnam under the Nguyen Dynasty, Hue is home to magnificent tombs, temples, and pagodas like the Thien Mu Pagoda. The city also offers a laid-back atmosphere, sophisticated local cuisine, and historical sites from the Vietnam War.
I found Hue impressive, beautiful, subtle, pretty and completely mesmerising.
But let’s keep moving…. Moving away from the city.
Nestled in the serene countryside of Hue, you will find Alba Thanh Tan Hot Springs.
Situated at the foot of the Truong Son Mountains, this wellness retreat is surrounded by lush forests and peaceful landscapes, offering a perfect blend of nature, wellness, and history. We will be staying here where we will have access to the medicinal properties of the hot springs any time we want.
The natural hot mineral springs of Alba Thanh Tan are a magnetic feature of this retreat. The theme of this retreat is simple-a complete disconnect from our daily lives and responsibilities for 7 days. Many of us are busy, stressed, caring for children and parents. Many of us are not filling our own cups. This retreat is designed to nurture you inside and out through the beauty and historical sites that we will see; through our daily yoga practice and through the medicinal healing properties of the surrounding natural hot springs.
These waters are naturally heated by geothermal energy, reaching temperatures of up to 70°C. Soaking in these mineral-rich waters is not only relaxing but also therapeutic, offering a wide range of health benefits for both the body and mind.
The hot springs at Alba Thanh Tan are famed for their ability to ease muscle tension, improve circulation, and detoxify the body. Rich in minerals such as magnesium, calcium, and sulfur, these waters have long been used to treat conditions like arthritis, skin irritations, and stress-related ailments. Visitors often report feeling rejuvenated after just a short soak, as the minerals help relax both body and mind, promoting deep relaxation and healing.
For centuries, natural hot springs have been an essential part of wellness traditions around the world, and Alba Thanh Tan continues this legacy in Hue. After a long day of exploring or yoga practice, we will be sinking into the warm, mineral-rich water, letting the natural properties of the springs do the work to relax our muscles and detoxify your skin.

Chiang Mai, Thailand Yoga & Cultural Retreat
2-10 August 2027
Check out 11th August
9 nights/10 days
The Chiang Mai Yoga Retreat really has become a home away from home for me as a yoga teacher. The farm that we run the Retreat on is a place of serenity and peace.
I have found in the past that by the time people settle in, relax and begin to feel at home... It’s almost time to leave. It is for this reason that I have decided to extend this retreat by two nights and make it a fully immersive and cultural experience. This 9 night/10 day Yoga Retreat will be a complete Yoga and Cultural reset for your mind, body and spirit. Punctuated by two day trips, we will explore the Chiang Rai region and visit some staggeringly beautiful temples & waterfalls. We will also take a day trip to Doi Inthanon. Located in Chiang Mai Province, Doi Inthanon is the highest mountain in Thailand, rising 2,565 meters above sea level. We will see waterfalls, explore the region ( hiking) and visit royal pagodas. We will also visit a Coffee Farm/Plantation.
In curating this retreat, my aim is to give you the complete disconnect that you’ve been looking for.
There are more activities and experiences that you can look forward to, however expect a beautifully immersive Yoga and Chiang Mai experience.
